REALIZING
For some, it’s not a secret that deeper forms of Spiritual Consciousness, some call it Enlightenment, determine one’s quality of existence; love, compassion, altruism toward others, the wisdom realizing reality, i.e., Truth. So with this in mind, one’s actions are not inherently good or bad, but are only designated so according to the results they bring, and according to the level of consciousness so designated. I hope you can see then that Truth, being neutral, is neither good nor bad, is not determined by human desire, nor by human decree, and despite what some say, is not defined by political power, nor by religious conviction. Truth is the harmonization of the human mind and heart with what is.Now some important qualities necessary to live harmoniously with others are friendliness and genuine concern for others, wouldn’t you think? The more we develop these internal qualities, the more they will automatically be reflected in our behavior and speech. Other people relate to and respect these qualities more than our sharing their views about intoxicants, the death penalty, and TV shows. If we are friendly, happy, and compassionate people, we will get along with others well, providing we intentionally want to.
What is to be surrendered, by the way, is our egocentric disturbing attitudes and negative emotions, not our wisdom, common sense, and responsibility for our own lives.
Non-attachment is a calm, realistic, open, and accepting attitude, and humble people naturally pick up on this, and are way more impressive than boastful ones. Their serenity and respect for others shine through, and this gladdens our heart. Yes?
We have to realize we’re all fighting the same internal enemies, aren’t we, disturbing attitudes, negative emotions, and imprints of past actions, so we have to be patient with ourselves, and similarly, we need to be patient with others.
